This series of ten sessions is designed to restore balance to the body. Each session combines manual bodywork and movement education to reestablish the natural alignment of your whole body for overall balance and well-being.
Goal: Free your Breath
Terrain: ribcage, sternum, shoulders, neck; lateral pelvis/leg, hamstrings
Get a sense of lift in your body. You will breathe easier as we release the superficial fascia of the ribs and thorax.
Goal: Support your Body
Terrain: feet, ankles, legs, knees, thighs, pelvis
Find a sense of grounding in your body. Your feet will be more fluid and adaptable as they support the vertical dimension in your body.
Goal: Find your Depth
Terrain: neck, arms/shoulders, torso, back, pelvis, thighs
Experience the dimension of depth (front to back balance). Your arms and shoulders will be free and fluid.
Goal: Find your Core
Terrain: ankle, knees, medial thigh, pelvic floor
Build up support and strength within your true core. The inner line of the feet, legs, and pelvic floor will release stress and become more balanced.
Goal: Activate your Psoas
Terrain: front of the legs, abdomen, psoas, diaphragm, ribs, sternum
Tap into the power that comes from your core. You will get a sense of how a balanced core supports all movement.
Goal: Release your Back
Terrain: ankle, calves, hamstrings, gluteals, deep rotators, sacrum, spine
Feel a sense of length in the back. You will experience new movement in all aspects of the spine.
Goal: Free your Neck
Terrain: chest, shoulders, neck, jaw, face, cranium
Find adaptability in your head and neck. You will feel a fluid relationship between your head, neck, and spine.
Goal: Stability and adaptability
Terrain: lower girdle, feet, legs, hips, pelvis
Experience the final de-rotation and integration of the pelvis. You will feel a new sense of stability and adaptability in your body.
Goal: Contralateral movement
Terrain: upper girdle, arms, shoulders, chest, back, head, neck
Experience contralateral movement in your body. You will feel the transfer of motion and energy from the core to the rest of your body.
Goal: Horizontal lines
Terrain: all joints
Sense everything being connected. You will have a full sense of your body in three dimensions moving in any direction with equal ease. Your body will be unified and relaxed in gravity allowing for effortless movement and balance.
