When I found Structural Integration, sometimes referred to as rolfing or S.I., I was a walking block of concrete even though I was active.
My neck and shoulders were so tight that my neck would go out about once a month.
I had headaches and a permanent knot underneath my right shoulder blade.
My lower back felt so strained all the time that sometimes I would have to fight back tears if I had to stand too long or, heaven forbid, sit on a stool for any length of time.
I also had plantar fasciitis in both feet.
I felt a bit hopeless that I would ever feel good again.
My chiropractor asked if I had ever heard of Structural Integration. I hadn’t but I’d tried everything else and nothing was working, so I limped in for my first session.
On the table, I felt a new connection with my body and experienced a deep release of tension. I had no idea how much stress I’d been storing up over the years. When I got off the table, many of my aches and pains had lessened or disappeared completely. I felt lighter and freer than I had in years... and it stayed! Finally, something worked!
Over the course of my 10-series, I found hope, relief, and a connection between my mind and body. It was what I had been looking for but had never been able to find. I wanted to learn how to provide this service to others.
Now I’m a board-certified practitioner and my goal is to support people in exploring and releasing patterns of stress, tension, and pain so they can be free to live the life they want.
If you are interested in trying Structural Integration, please get in touch. Together we can get you from where you are to where you want to be.
Yours in gravity,
Cara
