“There is a core feeling of expansion passing from the center and out as far as we can imagine.” - Ed Maupin
The integration continues!
In session 8, we worked with the sense of being. In session 9, we will work with the sense of doing.
Our arm and leg movements reflect our connection with our core, our sense of being. We express our being through our doing. Healthy, balanced movement that comes from the core can be fluid, easy, elegant, graceful.
In session 9, we will address any rotations that have been revealed in the spine and upper body, revisit anything in the upper body that needs attention and continue to encourage ease and wholeness through large fascial plane movements.
Intention for Session 9: Contralateral movement
Terrain: upper girdle, arms, shoulders, chest, back, head, neck
Experience contralateral movement in your body. You will feel the transfer of motion and energy from the core to the rest of your body.
The theme of this session is DOING. Balanced “doing” is connected to movement from the core/center of your “being”.
Thoughts to consider in preparation for this session:
Do you feel the things you do are an accurate expression of who you are?
How do you feel about the functional patterns your body expresses?
What does it feel like when you do things you don’t want to do? How does your body feel?
We will be working on the upper body so bra/bandeau/tank top will be best.
If you have any questions, please let me know. I look forward to seeing you!
